Artistic DirectorThe Royal College of Music is creating an exciting new role of Artistic Director. This will build on the outstanding performance programme that is one of the College's defining features. The College's current roster of regular visitors includes such illustrious names as Vladimir Ashkenazy, Bernard Haitink, Vladimir Jurowski, Gordan Nikolitch, Roger Norrington and Esa-Pekka Salonen. The successful candidate will be part of the RCM's Directorate team and will have a strong record of artistic achievement and a natural authority; the capacity to inspire and motivate committed and visionary colleagues; flair and vision in programming across a range of musical genres; experience of effective advocacy for the art form; a network of international contacts; an understanding of the higher education environment and the centrality of the student experience; management experience including budgetary and HR.
